1.0 release
Feature freeze: 29 August 2007. Before this date we should:
- Implement all remaining issues with Severity "Feature" and Subproject "PathVisio 1.0"
Release canidate 3: 5 September 2007 Before this date we should:
- Do a lot of testing
- Fix all remaining issues with Severity "Major" and Subproject "PathVisio 1.0"
- Fix (as much as possible) remaining issues with Severity "Minor" and Subproject "PathVisio 1.0"
Final release: 12 September 2007 Before this date we should:
- Do a huge amount of testing
- Fix Major issues that come up.
Explanation of how the issues are categorized:
We added all remaining bugs and features on the bug tracker. Then we assigned each bug / feature to one of the three subprojects "pathvisio 1.0", "pathvisio 1.1" or pathvisio "2.0" The meaning is as follows:
- Pathvisio 1.0: This should be fixed for the release, due September 12 '07
- Pathvisio 1.1: These are mostly pathway editing features/bugs that are nice to have fixed, but we can live without them for a while. This will be postponed until the release after, aimed for December '07
- Pathvisio 2.0: These are features related to expression datasets, and are not going to be fixed soon.
All the PathVisio 1.0 bugs are grouped by severity in "Feature", "Major" and "Low". The meaning is as follows:
"Feature" is for new features that we'd really like to get into PathVisio 1.0 "Major" is a major bug that really should be fixed for PathVisio 1.0 "Minor" is a bug that we'd like to fix if possible, but we have no qualms postponing them to the next release.
