MAPPBuilder Plugin for PathVisio
The MAPPBuilder plugin helps you get started quickly on creating a new pathway. Given a list of gene identifiers, MAPPBuilder will build a simple prototype pathway for you containing those genes, eliminating the step of manual searching for each gene/gene product you want to include.
Creating a pathway with MAPPBuilder
Input data
The MAPPBuilder plugin accepts the input list of genes as a tab-delimited text file, or as a list pasted directly into a input field in the plugin. In both cases, the required format of the list is the same:
- 1st column: Label of the DataNode
- 2nd column: Identifier of the DataNode
- 3rd column: System Code corresponding to the identifier for the DataNode
Running MAPPBuilder
- To start MAPPBuilder, go to Edit>MAPP Builder.
- To use a tab-delimited text file as input, click the Browse button and select a tab-delimited text file for input. Alternatively, enter the input directly in the input field in the MAPPBuilder interface.
- Click Ok to start import. When import is complete, a simple pathway with the genes corresponding to the input will appear in PathVisio.
Reporting bugs
Please report all bugs on our MailingLists. When you report a crash bug, please also include the Log file. You can find the log file in the .PathVisio directory in your home folder (so /home/user/.PathVisio on linux or C:\Documents and Settings\User\.PathVisio on windows).
