Even though you normally start PathVisio by clicking on a webpage, you don't have to be online to run PathVisio.

After you run PathVisio for the first time, the webstart files are saved on your computer. It's possible to run these offline. How this works depends on your operating system.

Windows XP

• Click Start->Run
• Type javaws -viewer and press enter

A window appears where you can see all the webstart applications that you have used recently. PathVisio should be among them, possibly multiple versions. Just double-click on the version you want to start.
